What we built

4 pieces, one site

Custom design & build

Designed around the client's content and customers rather than a template, and built on WordPress so their own staff can edit every page.

Smart forms

Contact, request and application forms that route to the right inbox, keep a copy in the site and stop spam before it lands.

Learning center

Courses and lessons people take at their own pace, with progress tracked per person.

Our photography

Every image on the site was shot by Hoke Designs — people, product and place — so the site looks like the business, not a stock library.

The story

The brief

Juneau Hydropower is developing the Sweetheart Lake project south of town. The site tells that story to regulators, investors and neighbors: the project, the licensing timeline, community benefits and news. Our aerial and landscape photography of the site carries the design. The 2024 refresh replaced the 2018 layout.

What we did

An independent power developer and certified public utility based in Juneau.

What changed

The company has since moved to another provider; this is the site as we built it.
