Hoke Designs is a family-owned web design, development, and hosting studio in Juneau, Alaska. We started designing websites in 2007 and quickly saw that our clients needed more than a website, so graphic design, photography, and marketing packages followed, then video editing, drone video and photography, and managed hosting.
We're the perfect size: every client gets the full attention of the whole company, and every role on our team has multiple supportive staff behind it, so nothing stalls and every plan gets pressure-tested by several sets of experienced eyes. Our people have decades of experience across corporate teams, startups, and indie studios, and an intense passion for web development, design, photography, managed hosting, cybersecurity, network engineering, and drone flying.
As a local company, we believe in supporting the local economy, and we never forget that our business exists because of our clients. We stay flexible and tailor what we do to fit each customer.

Since grade school I have loved bringing ideas to life through building websites, and this company allows me to share that passion with our customers.
Hayden has been developing websites since grade school, first as a representative of his school and later professionally. He was the head webmaster for two newspapers, then managed telecommunications for the State of Alaska: the voice, video and data networks serving every state agency.
Most recently he was a cybersecurity analyst for the Department of Law and a board member of the State of Alaska’s Security Council, working with federal agencies including the IRS, SSA, FBI, NDNH and ETA to keep the state in compliance.
His passion is developing unique, functional websites that improve the user experience in ways people may never have thought possible.

Nikol majored in computer science and mathematics and went on to teach mathematics and programming for more than 15 years. Design is her other passion: as an interior home designer, she designed custom kitchens for a construction company in Europe.
She speaks five languages fluently and has traveled all over Europe. At Hoke Designs she designs for our clients and leads our support desk.

Patrick has a computer science degree from Hamilton College. He builds the management and real estate software used by the nation’s largest hotel chains and real estate management companies.
Before that he was a programmer for the State of Alaska, worked as a graphic designer for a local newspaper, published an app on the Apple App Store, and lived and programmed in Japan for Rakuten.

Billy graduated from Western Washington University in 2016 with a computer science degree, and played on the university’s hockey team. For the last six years he has been a top developer at Expedia.
Earlier in his career he programmed an app for a regional helicopter company, Era, and worked as a programmer in Knoxville, Tennessee and Baltimore, Maryland.

Zander graduated from Ithaca College in New York with a pre-law degree, went on to earn his law degree, and passed the Washington bar exam. After three years with a Seattle-based law firm, he is now in-house counsel at Microsoft.
In his spare time he likes to play hockey, soccer and softball.
