Southeast Living Magazine

Southeast Living Magazine was Anna Hoke's idea, and she ran it herself while she was part of Hoke Designs: a free monthly magazine about homes, food, people and real estate across Southeast Alaska, from its first issue in 2011.

About the work

Anna produced and published every issue: the stories, the layouts and the covers. The magazine and its website were designed to work in tandem, two sides of one design that carry the same look and voice from print to the web.

The website launched with the magazine in mind. It was one of the first sites to offer an interactive magazine viewer, where each issue's pages visually flip as you read.

The site is still hosted and cared for on Hoke Designs Managed Hosting, with every issue online back to the first.
